So it's soft without feeling floppy or clingy. However it is SO BIG. I saw the reviews warning of that, but I was looking for a shirt that's cut a little big, so I ordered in my usual size. And it's gigantic. Definitely size down. I am reordering this in a S and hoping that will fit -- but annoyingly the color I preferred has gone out of stock since I ordered the first time. (I should say: I bought a wool board shirt at the same time in the same size, and that one fits really well!
