Reason why; I loved how my smaller sizes looked at work and out-and-about. They're highly flattering and also comfortable. I got complimented a lot, as simple as these pants are; the high quality shows. These trousers also keep me warm on coldest days and are temp-regulating; I don't get too warm when I go from outside chill to a heated environment. But, I got the larger sizes to wear at home, when I slouch around but still want to feel elegant, or to step out briefly. I had to wear them to dinner the same day I opened the package. The material is so soft and the pants are so comfortable. It feels like pajamas or sweats but looks dressed. On me, the length is right below the ankle, not above, which I like. I am tempted to get a 2nd pair to have one to wear while these are being cleaned. These are not a light drapey merino knit. They are stiff, more like a double knit, and stick out at the bottom. Feel a bit synthetic. Don't look good on a shorter person. They're trim at the hips and wide in the legs. And they require dry cleaning.
