Great Looking
This is a great looking Dog bed. We have rescued a Great Dane with some issues and every blanket or cover we have given him so far has been used as a chew toy and distroyed after a couple of days. For Christmas we decided to take a chance since our "little guy" was finally starting to recognize the differnce between a chew toy and a dog bed and we ordered the extra large Yakima dog bed for our 110 pounds great dane. On Christmas morning he LOVED IT. After a short dance in circle he looked like he was in the clouds laying in his new bed. Our smaller dog, a female basenji mix loved it so much as well that since we bought the big bed she sleeps at night with the great dane in his crate, and rarely she goes back to her own crate. We leave both crates doors open in our living room at this point since the dogs have no issues anymore with chewing on furniture, kids shoes and other stuff. The only problem that keeps me from reccomending this bed is the foam. After only 3 months of use it has lost most of its original shape and in most contact points where the dog sleeps there is not even an inch of support left from the ground. To be fair in these 3 months using the bed the great dane lost most of his dog elbow calluses that he developed from sleeping basically on the floor for the first two years of his life. I wished the foam would be of a better material and that it would last at least a year before loosing most of its support. If Peddleton would replace the foam I would be happy to give it another try, but for about $200 for a dog bed I would expect to last more then 3 months.
