<span itemprop="description">I haven't actually used the blankets, they were gifts. One of them was for my daughter and she has used it a few times. She uses it when her son has baseball practice (he's 8), the practice is in the evening and has been quite cold here, especially with the wind. She says the blanket keeps her warm, but not her hands or face.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The colors were even nicer in person than in the photos. Texture is relatively soft and is comfortable yet substantial. The fabric weight and blanket size is great for the couch or recliner, as well as for travel, and it LOOKS great in the house as well. The leather carrier is well-made and nicely finished, with plenty of adjustment so the blanket/robe can be folded and rolled in different ways and it will still fit nicely. The shoulder strap of course allows carrying it hands-free, which is great when loading/unloading the vehicle for travel. A cozy life-long addition to couch and car.</span>

We do make some throws that are washable but our Motor Robes are not. The difference in the texture of the wool plaids could be a factor of the number of colors used and how much each puts off its own loft within in the pattern.

Our Motor Robes are made with a light weight wool than our Yakima Camp Blankets and are meant to add a little warmth in the car or used on a picnic. The texture of the fabric is similar to the Yakima.
