Additional Information

One of our most popular designs ever, crafted of USA-made wool in our Pendleton, Oregon mill. In 1923, President Warren Harding and his wife Florence came west to dedicate a portion of the old Oregon Trail. At the ceremony, local chiefs presented the first lady with a Pendleton shawl inspired by our famous Chief Joseph blanket. This dynamic design was an instant hit and remains in production today. "Absolutely gorgeous," says one customer. Pair with matching sham.

In 1923, President Warren Harding and his wife, Florence, journeyed west to commemorate the Oregon Trail. At the ceremony, Cayuse and Umatilla chiefs presented the First Lady with a Pendleton shawl in a new design inspired by our Chief Joseph blanket. The distinctive geometric design was an instant hit, and remains one of our most popular today.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Into the west every night I have been looking for a cover for my bedroom seems like forever. All I could find was turquoise, along with other colors. I needed greens, browns. When I saw this one it really fit the bill. But, I also found it is so soft and beautiful, its hard to pull the covers down to get into it and mess the overall look up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as expected I just received this blanket in King Size and although it is beautiful I am a bit disappointed in the weight of the new material. It is definitely lighter and not of the same quality as the 2 other blankets that I purchased several years ago. The 2 previous blankets were also unnapped as I did not like the napped blankets. A previous reviewer was told that the reason the blanket seemed lighter was because it was unnapped. I will keep the blanket because I love the pattern although I feel it is a bit pricey considering the change in the material

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Own a beautiful piece of history. The photos of the blanket do not do it justice. It is quite beautiful and very contemporary. I bought it as an accent blanket to put on a sofa, but reconsidered as it deserves to be unfolded so all it's design and elegance can be appreciated. Such exquisite colors, and flawless craftsmanship, make it a worthy investment if you want something with practical glamour. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my blanket/bedspread I absolutely love my Harding blanket/bedspread! We've had a "regular" sized blanket that we use on our bed in the winter months and as much as I love that one, this just takes the warmth and style up several notches! It covers our King sized bed quite adequately. I like the leather look edging. This pattern and color satisfies my searching for that southwest/rustic style that also has an elegant look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This blanket is more than expected. I purchased my first Pendleton blanket forty-five years ago. I am still using it! This new blanket has vivid colors and meets my decor. I am very happy with it and will be purchasing more blankets in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality not the Same I'm a former Pendleton Employee who has folded and displayed many Pendleton blankets. I expect a certain weightiness and texture from Pendleton. I know how heavy and thick a King sized blanket should be. I ordered The Harding Jacquard Blanket for our 40th Wedding. My husband and I were both disappointed with the quality of the 'thinner' material. We have many blankets from Pendleton of a much higher quality purchased just a few years ago. We sent it back, and to Pendleton's credit the Customer Service rep was cordial, friendly and treated my concerns with genuine interest. Pendleton paid the return shipping. Pendleton continues to be a 'class act".
