Ruiz discovered lowriding while skateboarding around his South San Diego neighborhood as a kid. “It’s colorful, it’s the music, it’s the way these guys dressed. That was something I aspired to be. It’s a beautiful community. It’s a positive community. It’s constantly growing.”
