Bought this blanket a few months ago and it has still held up extremely well. Definitely one of my favorite purchases of 2020. Took it for a camping trip and worked great in 30-40f (0-4c) temperatures. Twin size runs large, fits perfectly on a full bed. Really elevates an entire room and makes it feel much more luxurious

Dream blankets!
I have two Yakima Camp blankets, a queen size in mineral umber and a twin size in grey. They are both gorgeous and I use them on my bed at home and in my teardrop camper when I’m traveling. They are generously sized so that they hang all the way down when used as a bedspread. The twin size is large enough to cover the top of a queen sized mattress with about 3” hanging over each side. They are thick, cozy and totally worth the price. Before I invested in these I bought a less expensive wool camping blanket and the difference in thickness, softness and beauty is obvious. The cheaper one also started to pill after just a couple of light uses and that isn’t a problem with my Pendleton blankets. They’re gorgeous heirloom quality and I very highly recommend them for home, camping and car travel. My dog also loves them!

This blanket is very thick and warm. The pattern is homey and autumnal, and it's been a perfect blanket to stave off the Fall chill in Chicago. The texture isn't uncomfortable or scratchy, but it's not very soft so it's best as a throw or blanket on top of sheets.

I need more!
I bought my first YAKIMA camp blanket about 6 years ago. It was fantastic. I spoke so highly of it that my parents bought me another camp blanket in a different color that same year for Christmas. I have one on the couch and one on the bed now. Both are used year round even through summer(we like it cold in the house). They keep you warm but you dont over heat as easily as with a synthetic blanket. My wife who generally does not like the feel of wool, loves this blanket on the bed with just a thing cotton sheet between us and the blanket. She says its unlike any other blanket we have owned. My little kids even love them to the point that my son often falls asleep on the couch wrapped up in it. There will most definitely be more camp blankets bought for myself and as gifts in the near future. I hope these are made for years to come!

I am using the Queen size on my Cal King bed with no problems at all. 2 people sleep very comfortably under these blankets along with a lightweight down comforter on top. No tug of wars needed.... As another poster noted, these blankets have a blend of wool and cotton. They are not super warm alone. They do need a cover or air circulating will cause them to be a bit cool.

Our Yakima Camp Blankets are 86% wool and 14% cotton. The cotton yarns are used on the looms for stability and the wool yarn are use for color and pattern. The Queen would weigh approximately 6 pounds.

Pendleton Woolen Mills, why do you say that there is cotton in this blanket, when above in another answer you said this Yakima blanket is 100% wool ???? I don't buy anything but 100% wool in blankets, or garments like sweaters. Cotton does not provide strength, that is false as wool fibers offer more than 6 times resistance to breakage in independent lab tests. (20,000 bends VS 3000 for cotton fiber).

Yes, dry cleaning is the best way to maintain your blanket. Even with the mildest washing methods blankets will lose 3"-6" in length. And shrinkage could increase with successive launderings. Also, blankets may become stiff and dense, permanently changing the soft hand and smooth appearance. So unless a blanket specifically states "washable" please dry clean only.

Both our Yakima Camp Blanket and our Eco-wise Blanket are made from 100% pure virgin wool woven in our Oregon and Washington mills. Our Eco-wise Wool is treated so the blankets can be machine washed and dried. Our Yakima is dry clean. Our Eco-wise would be softer over time because of the washing and drying.
