Depending on the foot traffic across the rug, there may be some fuzzing that occurs to the surface. Our rugs are manufactured by Southwest Looms using factories in India.

Do you provide padding to put underneath this rug? In between professional cleanings, can one vacuum this rug? If not, how does one clean the rug?

We do not sell the padding to go underneath our rugs and yes, you should vacuum the rug between cleanings.

That would be up to your personal preference though more customers than not do use a padding underneath.

An 8 x 10 rug would be about 70 - 80 lbs with the shipping weight included.
