Additional Information
A made-in-America wool blanket in a pattern inspired by the powerful waters of Fossil Springs in Arizona's Coconino National Forest. Every minute, 20,000 gallons of calcium-laden water pour from the base of a 1,600-ft deep canyon, laying down deposits of travertine limestone and creating fossils that inspire the area's name. In the center of this pattern, the springs surge to the surface, flowing out to fuel the wild waters of Fossil Creek. Woven in our Pacific Northwest mills, this blanket is a twin/robe size—a perfect accent at the foot of a bed, on the back of a couch or used as a wall hanging.

<span itemprop="description">I make Pendleton letterman’s jackets with leather sleeves and Pendleton blanket coats for family. It is so much easier working with unnapped versus napped. I’ve made them napped as well, unnapped is easier for sewing.</span>

Our Fossil Springs Blanket is 82% pure virgin wool and 18% cotton. The cotton yarns are used on the warp of the loom for stability and the wool yarns are woven in for the color and pattern.

Our Fossil Springs Blanket is unnapped or uncombed which means the surface is left as it comes off the loom. An unnapped blanket has a flat surface that lets the pattern shine through. A napped blanket is put through a process to brush the surface pulling up the ends of the wool fibers. This gives the blanket a softer looking finish and appears thicker.
