No, our Eco-wise blankets are not treated with any chemicals. We use a resin on the wool fibers that allows for washing stability - it coats the scales on the wool to prevent the shrinking/interlocking/felting.

Everyone has different personal sensitivity to wool fiber. Washing and drying will fluff up the fibers more which may make a difference. Fabric softener can coat the wool fibers which can reduce the natural attributes of moisture wicking and body temperature regulation.
