What a difference! Shame on Pendelton. What quality managing do they do in India? The throw stinks and iches.

Returned this item. It wasn’t good material. The weave is not pure wool, it’s scratchy, it’s uneven, it’s not at all a “smaller version” of their regular blankets. It’s a totally different product. Definitely not worth $150. Hoping the refund won’t take forever.

One of the last bastions of American made quality has fallen. A national parks blanket….made in India. Cheap wool, blended with cotton. A $200 binky that’s maybe worth $39.99. I find this odd, because the Grand Canyon blanket was purchased not long ago and was same as it ever was. Shirts have gone south too. I come from a multigenerational Pendleton loving family. I guess all love affairs end. Strange things are afoot in Portland, Oregon.

The material is not at all like Pendleton’s traditional blankets. This is should be explicitly made clear, customers aren’t able to readily deduce that based on it saying “imported” and seeing the makeup as 90% wool, 10% cotton.
Scratchy and uneven material. See photo showing imperfection, there seems to be a piece of wood/hard fiber sewn into the weave.
Also upset that Pendleton put a hold on my card that did not take into account the holiday discount I was promised by phone. They told me by phone that the charge wouldn’t even start pending until the item shipped, and that the charge would account for the 25% off coupon. Instead I have a pending charge for an amount $100 greater than what I will actually be paying. Not appreciated.
Sending it back and won’t have this gift ready for my family in time for seeing them this month.
Also don’t bother with emailing customer service they never respond. Call instead and you will at least get a knowledgeable human representative.

Agreeing with Liz73 - not great
I echo the previous reviewer's comments. This is my first time ordering from Pendleton, but I am familiar with what their traditional blankets are like. Known for quality.
I ordered this throw because the Acadia pattern was not available as a full-size blanket.
My two gripes are:
1) The material is noticeably compromised compared to their standard traditional wool blankets. It's my fault for not reading the description that says "imported," but the fact that the description also calls it "a smaller version of our bestselling blanket" indicated to me just that - it's simply a smaller version, not a difference in material, regardless of where it is produced.
2) There have been issues with my order, and Pendleton customer service has not responded to two emails I have sent over the last three days. They apparently shipped another part of my order, socks, separately from the throw - and the tracking information says it was delivered to my address on Saturday, yet my building has no record of receiving the package at the time of the timestamp, including in a review of our security footage. Also, I never received a shipping notification (or tracking info) about the throw (original reason I emailed them a few days ago), so when it showed up today I almost missed it. Still can't locate the first package with my socks.
Very disappointed. Debating whether I will return it or just keep it and give it as a subpar gift in time for the holiday. (I also never buy Xmas gifts so to have this happen the one time I do just irritates me to the max.)

Made in India!!!
I collect National Park blankets and knew something was off with this one when I first saw it in the mail. It is not what we have all come to expect with Pendleton's soft, beautiful wool and excellent craftsmanship. I compared it to other National Park blankets and throws in my home and then looked at the label, only to see it was manufactured in India. It is a lighter weight wool, a looser weave, has an entirely different feel and is almost a "waffle weave." The last product I would expect to be outsourced is a National Park blanket or throw.
It is going back, you couldn't give me this thing and I have purchased literally hundreds of blankets over the past 30 years for gifts for family and friends. I always purchased with pride because I counted on a sustainable product MADE in the USA.
This is bargain basement quality. There aren't enough words to express my disappointment.

Our Acadia Throw is 90% pure virgin wool and 10% cotton. It is woven on a jacquard loom and the cotton yarns are used on the warp of the loom for stability and the wool yarns are woven in for the color and stripes.
