PENDLETON SIGNATURE MERCER ISLAND COAT is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the Coat I purchased this coat and love it. The weight is perfect and unlike other reviews; I love the snaps. I actually purchased two Pendleton Jackets this year and ended up keeping both. My Pendleton coat from last year did have pilling problems but this coat has a different ratio on the wool. I am hoping that will solve the pilling. And last year's coat had snaps and they are still on. I wore the coat every day all winter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another miss fire I think Pendleton would be smart to listen to it's customers and stop cheaping out on quality. I buy Pendleton for quality at a reasonable price. Pendleton seems to think skimping on the details is the way to go but it is the way for life long customers to say "so Long". I do read customer reviews - I wish Pendleton would and take action. (the 49'er jacket I bought in 2000 actually fits, the one I bought last year has skimpy sleeve fullness and a narrow shoulder box). Pendleton, if you want to maintain and expand your customer base listen to your customers and start making the quality products you are known for. Customers will pay for quality. They can buy inferior quality elsewhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing Although this is a pretty coat, there are things about the presentation in the catalog that are misleading. It says the coat is lined, but the lining is only a thin rayon to make it easier to slip on - there is no added warmth. So this coat is not suitable for winter weather in January or February, and doubtful even for December or March. The flaps that imply pockets under them do only that - imply. There are no pockets under the flaps, just the hand-warmer slash pockets further down. They cheaped out on putting snaps on the coat. They look like they will barely last the season before the thread gives way. Buttons would have been a better choice. At this ponit, my wife has not yet decided whether to keep the coat or not. But I am disappointed. It's not the high quality coat I thought I'd be getting from Pendleton.
