Rated 5 out of 5 by from One for the Gnerations I was dead set on buying a Board Shirt and, having steeled myself for the financial hit, perused the site in an attempt to select the perfect plaid. That's when I ran off the tracks. The Elbow Patch Trail Shirt has the appeal of the Board Shirt with an added dose of practicality, plus the perfect plaid. The choice to spend more for the Pendleton is a "no brainer." I've been to the Pendleton Store in Portland, Oregon and found their goods to be exemplary examples of classic American craftsmanship. Heirloom quality that will serve me well and find a place of honor in my son's home and the home of his son or daughter thereafter. At that, it will have just gotten properly broken in!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shirts are BEAUTIFUL, but accounting is bad My first experiences with this company. I wanted to surpize my boyfriend with 3 shirts. He is retired Army so he this is a treat for him. Please keep in mind these shirts are pricey, but the workmanship is well worth it. Been working a second job to purchase these total cost a little over 400. I ask the merchant to please charge in full even it one shirt was on back order. It didn't matter to me because either way if I had to wait or get a different shirt I know my boyfriend is simple and would enjoy them. Unfortunately, it was a change, then a charge back, then a charge, 2 more charge backs. To the point of confusion so I called twice the merchant asking what is going on. I was told it will be correct. Well almost a month goes by and no changes. Till I get a call explaining the charges were done individual. I explain that is fine then why would you charge my for 3 shipment fees when it was only 2 shipments. I package had 2 shirts and the last shipment was the backorder that was ship later. Silence but I instructed I was still wrong. Just please be aware if you are playing by a credit card and the multiple charges, charge backs and holds on your card.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Wool Flannel Bought this on a whim because I was visiting Oregon. Shirt came in within 2 days packed well in a shipping package. I opened it up and saw no defects whatsoever! It as initially scratchy but I put it through the wash and hung it to dry, no stretching or shrinking occurred. I really like the elbow patches and the color of the shirt! The first time I put it on, I could feel the insulating warmth from the wool! I think a nice thing that could be added would be further wool care/tips or tricks that can be sent with the shirt so customers know how to take care of or get used to the wool. Overall I am super happy about the shirt! I've been wearing it to break it in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit & quality but color doesn't match photo I purchased the Buffalo check / taupe mix color elbow patch trail shirt online. While I was thrilled with the quality and fit, the actual color of the taupe is much darker than is shown online. I checked it on a couple of different screens to make sure it wasn't just my laptop monitor and it was the same. Not a huge issue as it's still a color I like, but I was surprised when I opened it—I actually thought they sent me the wrong color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried & True I have been using these for a decade as shirt jackets when I'm out hiking in the chill. This is my first new one in years so I expect it to last forever like my others. I can only hope they never get discontinued.
