Overview:
The role of the Junior Account Manager is to help develop and execute the strategic sales and marketing plans for new and existing accounts. Is responsible for managing all areas of the business relationship with assigned accounts, and works closely with various internal departments in an effort to maintain and further develop the account relationship. This is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Director of Sales.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow a customer base with new and existing accounts. Penetrate new markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts. Resolve challenges with each account.
  • Responsible for National Account reporting, and National Account reporting support
  • Present and sell seasonal collections to new and existing accounts. Effectively analyze sales data and react to the business.
  • Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory level fulfillment.
  • Help develop and execute a sales and marketing plan that meets or exceeds sales and margin targets. Develop and implement business/product strategies to optimize sales and profit.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate execution of sales orders and account activity.
  • Provide regular interface with customer accounts to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide input to Marketing department on marketing opportunities with customer accounts to support the sales effort.
  • Provide regular reports to Director of Sales that accurately captures all sales activity.
  • Seek out and communicate meaningful insights from customer accounts and marketplace.
  • Accurately manage expenses in accordance with budgetary requirements.
  • Attend National and Regional trade shows to work with existing and develop new accounts.


  • Skills and Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
  • 1 - 3 years retail or field sales or sales support experience. Apparel or home products industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Extensive Travel required.
