Rated 1 out of 5 by from most bizarre Pendleton shirt ever Absolutely the most bizarre Pendleton shirt ever . shoulder material overlay is single layer, not double layer, and is not even sewed continuously to lower layer horizontally across the chest and pocket area oerlay .. rather, it is tack stitched in place at several points and you can stick your hand, or arm as the case may be, entirely thru the overlay area .. plus, it is pretty much the dreaded slim fit and is too tight in chest and shoulders and arms are too short .. I am 5' 10" tall, 180 #, 43" chest and 33" arm length, a standard male large .. very disappointing product, save your $$ on this one ..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this overshirt/jacket I have really been enjoying this jacket/overshirt - the olive green is a beautiful color, and the fit excellent and true to size. The wool is very soft and it is quite warm. It has a nice weight as well. I have also received numerous compliments on the jacket - it seems to catch people’s eye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thomas Kay Overshirt Mine just arrived and it's all I suspected, plus it has hand warmer pockets, which I didn't realize were part of the lower jacket, but doesn't show in the picture. Also of interest is that it's made of: a very soft 100% virgin wool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Confused Bought the Thomas Kay Overshirt. I spend a lot of time in the Northeast woods and need my woollies. The Issue: The website description mentions storm flaps. Can someone tell me where they are and what they are? It's all single layer wool. No flaps or double layer of wool at all. Not exactly what I expected. No extra buttons were provided. I'm a bit unhappy about the "build quality." (Rare for a Pendleton) The underside of the collar is poorly matched lightweight cotton. It does not lay flat. Looking at the collar underside, the cotton is pressed and bunched up preventing the collar from laying flat. It should be wool on an expensive shirt like this one. I ordered a second sample. The collar is kinked up, a dry cleaner with a steam press might be able to take care of this. (The second one came with extra buttons.) The plackett (the strip where the buttons go) on one shirt is sewed curvy and uneven. Opening the buttons pulled out threads from the button holes. Now the good news: It's a good looking shirt and the wool is fairly thick. This experience will not prevent me from ordering other Pendleton shirts. I have nine or them. The website description should be changed. It was misleading to me and I am sure it was not intentional. The assembly and material of the collar should absolutely be reviewed. The looks of the shirt and fabric quality are first-rate. I am going to have to speak to customer service. I do not mean to judge it so harshly. My "better half" noticed all this. Glad she has the eagle eye. I have not yet decided if I will keep it, although I want to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what it seems This is not what it seems, this is really a shirt. There is NO cape in back - its just a stitched seam. And what appears to be a cape in front is also just a false seam making a flap over the front pockets. There is NO double layer of wool forming a cape over the shoulders. I am very disappointed in this, it also makes me feel that Pendleton is making clothing strictly on style, not on functionality.

What is the fabric weight?

Asked by: Bobo
The USA made fabric we use for our Thomas Kay Overshirt is heavier than our Umatilla wool used for our classic men's wool shirts, but not as heavy as melton outerwear fabric weight.

Are the back and front top part capped with double material like a jacshirt?
