Rated 5 out of 5 by Pendleton Pat from Beautiful Sierra Star Originally I ordered the Sierra Star Cardigan in an XL because I based my decision on the reviews. I was so happy with the quality and color of the cardigan but disappointed that it fit more like a jacket than a sweater. I knew I should have followed my instincts and ordered the large. Well, finally a large showed up and I sent back the XL. I am more than thrilled that the large fits better and just hope that someone out there can be as happy as me with the XL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pendleton Pat from Lovely Sweater! The Sierra Star Cardigan is just beautiful. I agree that it could be worn as a jacket or a sweater. However, I do feel that it runs true to size. I don't feel that it is fitted or that it runs small. I panicked and ordered the XL thinking that it ran small. I usually wear a Large and very seldom Extra Large in Pendleton. It's always a gamble. But, the previous reviews did not help me this time. I am tempted to downsize just to see which one fits better. I wish I would have followed my instincts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GoldenGal from Beautiful Sweater I measured myself carefully before purchasing this Sierra Star Cardigan. I had to size up one size, due to having a large chest and long arms. I love the colors, the weight of the garment, and how warm it is. After several wearings, I realized that, for a large-busted gal, the design of this cardigan is not ultra flattering. It’s just a tad awkward, with the zipper off center and red pattern around the bust. But otherwise, this sweater is beautiful, warm and lovely. Am very happy with it, and I will wear it to stay warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nana 7 from Classy Just received my Sierra Star Cardigan today. Love it! Nice weight, love the blanket stitch, zipper, pattern, color, collar. Usually buy a small, regular. Glad I ordered the petite medium for layering. Couldn't be happier! Hubby was also VERY impressed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Peony25 from Beautiful, but runs small Beautiful, but runs small The minute I saw this sweater online I loved it. The striking look and the weight of this sweater didn’t disappoint. The off-center zipper adds a little drama. It can be worn without zipping it up (although you do see the zipper) but it looks best zipped up. Love the red blanket stitching around the edge. My only issue is the sweater runs slightly small. I always wear a medium petite at Pendleton but this time it fit snug.

Rated 2 out of 5 by western woman from runs small I love the pattern on this sweater and it looks like it is a quality piece. I ordered a large. Out of the bag, with it zipped, it looked like a medium to me. I tried it on anyway and zipped it up; it was tight. It would have fit much better if the zipper had been down the middle of the garment. The rest of the sweater fit o.k. except the upper sleeves were tight in the bicep area - even with a sleeveless shirt on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chairshopper from Great winter sweater I selected this as a Christmas gift to myself, and I couldn't be happier! I love the front side zip and the red whipstitch. It's a fairly heavy sweater. I received several compliments on my "jacket". I'm 5' tall, 110 pounds, and the petite small was the right size. No need to roll up the sleeves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pendleton from Returned Even though I returned this sweater, I can easily imagine that someone else might like it. I found the colors very nice and I liked the pattern. What I did not find practical was just what the designers liked best--the placement of the zipper. If the sweater is worn unzipped (and why wouldn't it be?) the zipper looks odd to me. Extraneous. The weight of the sweater and the wool are both excellent. Oh...I thought that the attempt to make the sweater look handknit--the bit of red looping--looked false. Just not a successful model for my taste. The back view, however, is beautiful.
