Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit I own a Canadian Goose and prefer this one. Maybe needs a little work on the hood but over all a terrific coat. Very comfortable and warm. Great Fit too unlike the Goose coats. Used this in Chicago this year 2019 at -58 degrees with additional layers of course. Would recommend this coat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broken zipper during the first wear Really nice coat but not very functional if the zipper is broken. Zipper seams tore on very first wear as seams are poorly reinforced. Even before it ripped, zipper is relatively difficult to zip (hard to get seated properly). Best part is I wrote customer service last week to tell them about the issue and how they would resolve—still have not gotten any response. Perhaps they’ll read my review first?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well-constructed, warm and stylish Received this parka just before the cold snap and it did not disappoint. 10 above and windy and it was fine for light activity. I am gratified that it has brass zippers and many pockets. The button handwarmer pocket closures are a bit inconvenient. They look good, but snaps would be better. One button is a bit loose already and likely will not stay more than another season. The outer shell is durable and resistant to dirt. Inner shell quite comfy. Sleeves too tight to wear a sweater. Overall though, I'm quite pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty warm The coat is exceptionally warm, has super large pockets, and is roomy enough so I don't feel bound up in it. It would be a nice feature if an extra button or two were included, so one would be prepared should one of the outer pocket buttons get snagged on something and ends up missing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timing is everything I got this parka after the holidays, just in time for the polar vortex that hit Chicaago. I had done my research and learned that this parka is an equivalent to a Canada Goose parka costing upwards of 1K. The Pendleton has performed perfectly in 20-below temps. Well done, Pendleton.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat Excellent quality. No velcro, outer material flexible yet clearly water repellent (maybe water proof?). Seems like it would be very warm and be a great commuter jacket. Unfortunately must return because with a business jacket there's not enough room in the XXL. The coat sleeves are very narrow- my husband couldn't even get his arms into the coat. Disappointing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heater This is a serious cold weather coat--the shipping weight was five pounds! I bought an XL, I'm 6 foot and about 213 lbs. It's very roomy and allows for layering underneath but not much layering is required because it's very well insulated. It has seven exterior pockets and two interior. As you might expect from Pendleton the materials are very substantial and construction is top-notch. Fair warning, if you are a trend-oid, there are no cheesy emblems sewn on the left sleeve. If you want that you'll have to pay 3x more. But I assure you, that coat won't provide any additional warmth for the extra money. I'm confident that the Denver is much more rugged and durable too.

I would like to buy this coat but am concerned about how the coyotes are “harvested”. (Saw a Chinese electrocution video once.)

Asked by: Zuni Bob
Unfortunately we have looked into this and we do not have the information on our current coats. We can say that beginning this fall with our new coats, all fur will meet SAGA guidelines.

Is there a Pendleton patch on the left sleeve? I saw this coat on a department store's website with a red patch on the sleeve. That is unsightly.

Asked by: pole
We have offered this jacket several times over the years and we, at one time, had a red patch on the sleeve. It is no longer there on this latest coat.

Are the sleeves well-insulated? The picture with the model makes it look like there isn't very much.

Asked by: pole
The insulation is the same in the sleeves and the body. The body is lined with our wool plaid fabric and the sleeves are poly lined. According to reviews the sleeves could run slim.
