Rated 4 out of 5 by from All except the color I purchased this Merino turtleneck sweater because I love Merino wool, and because it came in a petite size and I really loved the soft violet color as shown in the catalogue. Pendleton sizes things perfectly, although not enough products come in petites. I'm 5 feet, weigh 122 pounds. HOWEVER, the color was not the perky violet as shown in the catalogue. It was a VERY grey, toned down violet. I was very disappointed. The year before I ordered a cotton pullover in what looked like a lively heather wheat straw color and when it came it was a dull beige. I kept the pullover because I was too lazy to send it back and it was very reasonably priced although my disappointment remains. Last year I also ordered a wonderfully proportioned full length raincoat, and a long sweater that was cotton, silk and wool. The texture was terrific; it does not collect cat hair as much as other sweaters I have, and it hung wonderfully. I must now send back the turtleneck. I cannot keep a $100 sweater in this disappointing color regardless of the fine quality. Are the art people using a special filter on the cameras to make colors more lively? Are we going back to the days when the only colors you could get were white, black, red and forest green?
