Harding
The first Harding jacquard blanket was presented to Florence Harding in 1923 when she and President Harding visited the West to dedicate a portion of the old Oregon Trail. At that ceremony, local Cayuse and Umatilla chiefs presented the First Lady with a Pendleton robe inspired by the already-famous Chief Joseph blanket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Scarf This scarf is GORGEOUS and HUGE. Love the size and the versatility. It's super lightweight so it's not bulky. It is very delicate so I'm careful about choosing jewelry to wear with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to scarf! I recently purchased this and I am thrilled. It is such a beautiful versatile piece. There are so many ways to wear it that I may order this in another color. Of course the pattern is just beautiful. It’s light but offers enough warmth when needed. I highly recommend this scarf !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A dashing accessory I absolutely love this scarf (or shawl, or whatever you want to call it)! I got the blue shale, and ti goes so well with a lot of my outfits. I don't have any of the complaints some of the other reviewers had, such as saying the color was more gray than blue. The weight was very good for winter and early spring, and I will probably also use it in the chilly air conditioning of summer time. I can't tell you how many complements I got! It is such a unique article, and that's a big plus, too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful scarf Bought this match my luggage so I would look fabulous in the airport. Shawl is very light, so don't expect much warmth. Only good for slightly cool days or indoors. But fashionably, it's fabulous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and light as butterfly wings I bought this for a gift and then visited with my friend who received it — and she loves it! This is a beautiful and cozy delight, it travels well, and now I want one for myself! Like gossamer silk, only it is made of a delicate wool — just lovely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but quite delicate... I bought two of these scarves, in black and in tan. They are beautiful and versatile, and I always receive compliments when wearing them. However, even when handling them carefully, the thin fabric can snag and the edges develop loose threads. They are best for occasional use, not everyday.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely light weave Lovely for cool summer nights- disappointed that the sides were not finely stitched to discourage unraveling. A zigzag stitch would only take minutes to do and make a big difference

Items say Imported in description. Is the wool milled here and sent elsewhere

Pendleton sources wool the world over, including the United States. All of our wool growers are held to the same standards of treatment, regardless of country of origin.
