BUCKLEY SHIRT is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrific shirt, but... After about 25 years since acquiring my first and (until comparatively recently) ONLY Pendleton shirt, I purchased or otherwise received four more in the past two years, including a Board shirt, a Trail shirt, a Buckley, and most recently, a second Buckley. I like everything about the Buckley (its fit, curved front hem, buttons and button-flapped pockets), and I awarded it 5 stars in my previous review. However, barely into three months of gentle wearing, my first Buckley lost both buttons from the same cuff. That should never happen on a shirt at this price point and purported quality. I have worn my newest Buckley only a few times (with no problems), but it's not the size I ordered. I specified a Medium, Regular-cut shirt, but the shirt I received is labeled Large and Fitted. However, to my surprise, the fit looks and feels just like my previous Buckley; so perhaps the newer shirt is simply mislabeled. Still, between the labeling confusion and the detached cuff buttons on my previous Buckley, I cannot award 5 stars. Incidentally, my 25-year-old Pendleton still looks great (under heavy use), and all of its buttons are still intact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Unexpected Aspects I bought this in Plum/Indigo since it looked unique on-line, but it's even better in person. The unexpectedly rich color saturation and sophisticated color combinations elicit more compliments than any other shirt in my closet. Completely unique placket and seaming details also caught me by surprise and surpass other brands that I own, which cost three and four times this Buckley. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time-honored excellence The time-honored excellence of Pendleton has been honored once again. I have about 20 Pendleton wool shirts. As soon as I wore this shirt for the first time it became my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traditional with Modern Touches What's not to like? I took advantage of Pendleton's late-season sale, and couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. I had been under the impression that the Buckley was essentially a Trail shirt without the elbow patches, but there are a few suble differences, including a slightly shorter front hem (the back length seems about the same as my Trail shirt), a curved cut where the hem meets the placket, and somewhat more distinctive buttons. All are great touches for a shirt that, on the surface, seems merely "traditional." I'll be back for more Buckleys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shirt; be careful of sizing Excellent shirt, but had to exchange a Large (all my vintage Pendleton shirts are Large) fir a Medium as the there seems to have been a change in the meaning of those labels, and I can assure you I hsven't gotten smaller over the years! Medium worked fine and it is an excellent shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looking, warm wool, no itch shirts. I received a present of a Pendleton wool shirt, and I liked it so much I went to their website and bought two more. These shirts are good looking, warm, and do not itch. They are sized accurately -- I wear a small size although with many other shirts I have purchased through the years I have found that a medium size is what I need, but have to put up with excessively long sleeves. the Pendleton small size fits me perfectly. You can't go wrong with Pendleton

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish shirt made of beautiful 'twill weave' fabric I think this shirt, although 'inspired by an archival Pendleton design', is actually quite stylish. I like it! The wool fabric ('green-olive plaid' in my case) has a beautiful 'twill weave' pattern. Its thickness is similar to that of 'board', 'trail' and 'lodge' shirts. The shirt's fit is similar, too. All in all, I am 100% satisfied. Background information: Since 2003 or so, I have acquired a number of wool Pendleton 'trail' and 'lodge' shirts, all medium size, classic fit and 'made in Mexico of USA fabric'. For comparison, my Nordstrom dress shirt size is 16''(neck)/33''(sleeve), my height is 5'11' (1.80m) and I weigh 165lbs (75kg). I am 100% satisfied with all my Pendleton shirts, which are still in excellent condition. I am convinced that a wool Pendleton shirt will last for decades if properly taken care of. I wear my Pendleton shirts as loose fitting overshirts, instead of a sweater, always on top of a standard long-sleeve cotton dress shirt (usually white), never tucked into my trousers (usually blue jeans), and under my winter or rain jacket/coat.
