We source our wool in the US, South America and Austrailia/New Zealand. The wool growers we partner with all use humane sheep farming processes.

There isn't a specific answer to the question which makes it difficult to answer directly. The donations are done at the wholesale level based on the blankets as they are produced. There are annual checks sent to the Firefighters Fund from our wholesale division based on overall sales. It isn't calculated on each individual blanket as it is sold online. That is why we track the overall donation totals given to each organization we support.

We ran a 4 day promotion in September benefitting the Oregon Red Cross where we donated 100% of the sales of our Wildland Heroes blanket to local fire recovery. That special donation is done, but we continue to give a portion of each sale to the national Wildland Firefighter Foundation, in aid of injured firefighters and their families.

You as a consumer can care for the item as you see fit though it would void the warranty if cared for against the care instructions. To keep the integrity of the material and the blanket Pendleton recommends that this item be Dry Cleaned Only.
