Today, a royalty goes toward two National Park Foundation restoration projects for every blanket sold. These projects include rebuilding the famous double helix stairwell at Many Glacier Hotel and the preservation of the Grand Canyon Train Depot. Our 5th avenue throws are different fabric, different weave and different yarns so the colors and texture will not match the Glacier Blanket.

No, the National Park Glacier label is only used on our blankets. Our 5th Avenue Throw is a lighter weight and a heavy label wouldn't work well on the fabric.

Our 5th Avenue Throws also use virgin wool but they are made of Merino wool which is the finest wool available. The 5th Avenue Glacier throw will be soft and lightweight but with all the warming qualities of wool. It is intended to be a couch snuggle blanket. Our National Park Blanket is much thicker and heavier and intended to be used on the bed.

Our original Glacier National Park Blanket was originally made in 1916 and is still made today. It is made from our heavy blanket weight fabric and includes a commemorative National Park patch. Our newer Glacier Park 5th Avenue throw uses the same colors and striping on our top-of-the-line merino wool throw. Made from superfine merino wool, it is softly brushed, producing a fleecy, velvet hand.
