I expected it to be taken in on the sides to fit a slim person. The shirts were well made and I hated to have to send them back. I am 5&rsquo;11&rdquo; with a more muscular build and the XXL fits great through the arms and chest with the only tight spot being middle of upper back. Length is perfect for my height. The only negative for me was the thickness. This year, for his 72nd birthday I asked my 3 sons to purchase the Blackwatch tartan Pendletontthat they borrowed and another wool Pendleton shirt.
