However, it still has the same styling and excellent quality of most Pendleton shirts. I've noticed that the fabric used in today's 'Sir Pendleton' shirts is not finished to the degree that they once were, it is coarser and not as fine. In fact, when I wear my older Sir Pendletons, people here in Rhode Island think that the shirt is made out of silk (not 100% wool). Sadly, this is not the case with today's fabric, which feels (and looks) more like flannel and is much heavier. On the plus side, this is one of the few shirts offered by Pendleton that still has a button-down collar, which smartly dressed, contemporary men still desire. Both the arm length and the shirt body are shorter than legacy Sir Pendleton shirts. I own 17 of them!
