Our iconic skirt is a marvel of expert engineering and mathematical precision that matches the plaid and aligns every pleat on both sides. There’s a dramatic difference in color and pattern when it’s reversed – one side is predominately red, the other navy. Unlined. Side zip. 100% pure virgin worsted wool, woven in our own Northwest mills. Dry clean. Made in the USA. 25" long.

Vintage classic is always in style.
1956 was a very good year. The Oddero Barolo from Piedmont, Italy, was
superb. And Pendleton’s reversible plaid pleated skirt made its debut, turning the
fashion world inside out. That excellent Italian barolo is still sought after.
And so is this timeless Pendleton pleated skirt. While some of our vintage
1956 skirts are still being worn, you may not have inherited one. So we have
brought this special skirt back expressly to celebrate this very special centennial year.
The 2009 version of our fashion icon is still woven of pure virgin
wool in our American mills. It hasn’t lost a bit of its style magnetism
or its fashion relevance.
