An image alive with hope and promise. After the rain, vibrant red flowers and lush foliage burst forth from the naked spiny branches of the ocotillo shrub in the Southwest desert. Molly Cliff Hilts, a talented Northwest artist, works in encaustic (hot wax mixed with pigment) to achieve the luminosity and intensity of color that is her signature. Her oversized, semi-abstract fruit paintings can be found in notable collections across the United States and Canada. This tapestry is woven in our own Northwest mill using unique technology capable of translating complex images with subtle gradations in color. The color, detail and depth capture the original painting with extraordinary accuracy. 100% pure virgin wool. 70" x 54".
