The Four Winds Blanket is a re-interpretation of a 1920s and ’30s framed Beaver State Robe from our archives. Its origins are in historic Navajo Rio Grande striped weavings influenced by Hispanic designs. These unique framed patterns were made only by Pendleton Woolen Mills. This blanket features four major elements – the dominant design repeated in each corner – plus a secondary pattern along the borders that creates a frame around a central image. Four is a sacred number representing the four directions (East, West, North and South ) and thus light, water, air and earth respectively. 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton. Dry clean. Made in the USA. 64" x 80".
