"Chipara" is a Native American word for rainbow, originating in South America among the Inca Indians of Peru. It's an appropriate description of this beautifully sophisticated design. A special three-color weave creates a marbled, textured effect that gives extra dimension to its bands of color. Our state-of-the-art jacquard looms make the intricate details possible, and a century of weaving expertise makes them a reality. Dramatically different patterns in front and back showcase variations of a diamond pattern, often believed to represent the eye of the shaman, an ancient symbol of wisdom and watchfulness. Napped, whipstitch binding. 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton. Dry clean. Made in the USA.
