Dakota Star Quilt

This Dakota Star Quilt, a tribute to our pioneer history, was inspired by an antique Star of Bethlehem pattern. It is hand-quilted on cotton calico with a paisley ditsy print backing. The craft of quilting was common to both pioneers and Native Americans, and the patterns of traditional American quilts have an undeniable kinship with the intricate geometric designs of Native American blankets. Historically, the star design was common among the Dakota and other tribes. The image represents the morning star and symbolizes hopes and dreams for the future. Cotton with cotton batting. Machine wash and dry. Do not dry clean. Imported.

Twin Quilt - 66" x 86"
Full/Queen Quilt - 88" x 90"
King Quilt - 104" x 90"
Machine wash, cold, gentle cycle, mild detergent.
Only non-chlorine bleach as needed.
Tumble dry low.
Use large capacity machine to insure free movement.
Reposition in dryer to prevent scorching.
Remove immediately.
Shake to fluff.
Do not dry clean.
