Position Summary:
Pendleton Woolen Mills is a 100+ year old, vertically integrated manufacturer, wholesaler, and multi-channel retailer of quality Apparel and Home Products. The Web/Print Designer is responsible for creating compelling visual marketing images for the company's digital marketing initiatives. The position will also help support other advertising channels, including retail stores and wholesale marketing. This is a full time, non-exempt position and reports to the Web Art Director.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Actively collaborates with Creative Director, Web Art Director, Digital Marketing Manager, merchandisers, copywriters and other designers in regular planning meetings to brainstorm new digital marketing ideas. Is willing to bring new ideas to the table.
  • Adheres to tight timelines, working in coordination with other team members to meet critical due dates.
  • Assist with web photo shoot planning and execution.
  • Design and produce emails: design in either Photoshop or Illustrator, develop in HTML/CSS and upload into CheetahMail.
  • Create comps/prototypes, interactive creative interfaces, and then implement through HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery with extreme attention to detail.
  • Works with Photoshop software to manipulate catalog images and supplemental photography for use on the Pendleton website and other digital media.
  • Adheres to exacting brand standards related to design, typography and messaging.
  • Produce collateral materials for other departments, including Retail Stores and Wholesale marketing, using InDesign.
  • Provide backup to Website Administrator, performing tasks within Site Manager related to marketing promotions and web merchandising, as needed.


  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Web Design or related field of study from credited University.
  • 3 years experience in web design and graphic design, preferably in a retail environment involving apparel fashion and home products.
  • Strong knowledge of digital media: web, mobile, social media, email.
  • Highly proficient in Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Strong conceptual design and typography skills.
  • Expert in solving design problems with the ability to create a consistent, on brand, visual direction.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work and be deadline focused.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and be adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • HTML/CSS, JavaScript/jQuery experience.
  • MS Office: Word, Excel.
  • Responsive/mobile experience a plus.
  • Studio photo shoot experience a plus.
  • Retail experience a plus.
