Position Overview: Pendleton Woolen Mills is a 100+ year old, vertically integrated manufacturer, wholesaler, and multi-channel retailer of quality Apparel and Home Products. We are looking for a Web Art Director who will be responsible for creating and maintaining consistent Pendleton Woolen Mills digital design brand standards. Oversight of consistent application of the visual language and graphic style for the Pendleton brand across multiple digital brand expressions. Manage internal web designers This is a full-time position with full benefits.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide Art Direction and Design for digital marketing across website, emails, social media outlets and other digital media.
  • Lead, direct and manage internal web designers.
  • Ensure that all digital content and campaign designs are consistent with brand standards
  • Reports to Corporate Creative Director.
  • Oversee workload prioritization and assures solid processes are established for ongoing completion of work.
  • Oversee the creative planning across multiple categories to prioritize digital needs that result in consistent brand expression.
  • Research and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and how they may optimize current business practices.
  • Utilize sound management skills to effectively lead a team of 2-3 web designers towards the achievement of business objectives and timelines.
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by Corporate Creative Director to achieve business objectives including print, retail stores and wholesale marketing.
  • Provide backup to Website Administrator, directing tasks within Site Manager related to marketing promotions and web merchandising, as needed.
  • Coaches and develops staff for future advancement.

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design or related field.
  • Six years experience implementing digital design projects and programs with at least three years experience in a managerial role.
  • Broad understanding of current and emerging web-based communications strategies and technologies including Search Engine Marketing, Social Media, Mobile, Email Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.
  • Experience with fashion photo art direction both on figure and still.
  • Work closely with copywriters, marketing, merchandising and photo studio
  • Broad knowledge of marketing communications strategy and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills including presenting, listening, leading and interpersonal coaching and mentoring
  • Strong personal organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple time-sensitive assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects in a timely manner.
  • Exhibits ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently.
  • Must have competencies that include strong business acumen, systemic thinking, coaching skills, planning skills, organization skills, and ability to be resourceful and timely in completing work assignments.
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external business partners.
  • Proven ability in using good independent judgment.
  • Strong analytical, organization, time management and process management skills for success in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and HTML coding, Flash, CSS, and Javascript.
