Position Summary:
Pendleton Woolen Mills is a well-established, vertically integrated manufacturer, wholesaler, and multi-channel retailer of quality apparel and home products. We are looking for a Quality Control and Fabric Design professional to assist with quality control and new product development at our mill in Washougal, Washington.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Works closely with customers and other designers
  • Responsible for quality control of colors
  • Manage quality of fabrics
  • Submit and track color lab dips and evaluate against standards
  • Verify samples meet customer requirements
  • Manage quality of colors and performance of fabrics
  • Document color, pattern, and hand standards on finished products


  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Exceptional color acuity
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Foster strong working relationships with customers, designers, and manufacturers
  • Highly motivated, organized, and analytical, as well as able to adapt to changing and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think critically and understand the implications of decisions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced skills with creating and using Excel and Access programs
  • Previous experience or education in the textile industry strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System preferred
