Position Overview:
Pendleton Woolen Mills' Employee Store is a unique retail store setting open to our employees and their guests. The Employee Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operation per company policy, procedure and guidelines.

Responsibilities Include:
Sales and Profitability:
  • Achieve store sales and profit plan
  • Control expenses
  • Ensure exceptional customer service

  • Operations:
  • Inventory control and management through ordering and rotation of stock.
  • Provide training and backup for staff on Employee Store accounting procedures.


  • Knowledge and Skill Requirements Include:
  • Practice effective verbal and written communication skills with legible handwriting
  • Execute and train in customer service excellence
  • Carry out operational and visual functions
  • Create and analyze reports/statements/budgets
  • Effectively plan, organize, delegate, evaluate and provide feedback
  • Work alone and without close supervision;
  • Have physical stamina and dexterity to reach and lift and complete visual presentations/store set-up
  • Retail management experience, or equivalent supervisory experience, or proven productivity in a store management position.


  • Physical Demands and Working Environment:
  • Continuous standing or walking, lifting up to 40 lbs., reaching arms above head, some ladder use, computer operation, hand coordination, color coordination of merchandise, telephone use, reading, writing and speaking.
